Path to the Black Belt: My Taekwondo Odyssey

Since starting my Taekwondo journey in 2017, I have embraced a transformative path marked by continuous dedication and significant achievements. In 2022, I won four open national medals in various categories: speed kicking, poomsae, board breaking, and fight (kyorugi). Over the last three years, I have amassed over 20 medals at both state and open national levels, showcasing my dedication and skill in this martial art.
The pinnacle of my journey arrived in 2024, when I achieved the prestigious milestone of clearing the black belt test and earning my 1st dan black belt. This accomplishment symbolises years of unwavering perseverance and hard work, from starting as a novice in a white belt to attaining proficiency in the revered black belt.
Beyond medals and belts, Taekwondo has imparted invaluable lessons in discipline and resilience, qualities that have permeated every aspect of my life. Just as in basketball, this journey has been transformative, shaping my character and instilling values that extend far beyond the confines of the mat and court.
My Taekwondo journey stands as a testament to the power of persistence and passion, illustrating how dedication to a martial art can foster personal growth and achievement over time.
